Nurse Kirsty Bain
Kirsty joined the practice in October 2019. She qualified from the University of Stirling with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Since qualifying in 2012 until taking up this post she worked in the Acute Admissions ward in Caithness General Hospital. This allowed her to gain vital knowledge and experience with a wide variety of conditions. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters module with distinction in Clinical Assessment for Advanced Practitioners, Masters module with distinction on Clinic Reasoning, Judgement and Decision Making, Masters module with distinction in Non-medical Prescribing, Masters module in Minor Illness and a Diploma in COPD (which she has a special interest in. Kirsty is currently undertaking Masters modules in Minor Injuires, Asthma initial education module and Cervical Screening module. Kirsty is extremely passionate about her job and is currently training to become an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. During her training she will be spending time with the Doctors where she will be receiving ongoing teaching and learning as well as studying numerous courses at Masters level. Kirsty manages emergency triage calls as well as seeing patients in pre-booked appointments. She is also available for COPD and Asthma reviews. |
